The Longotoma Reserve Campsite is located in the commune of La Ligua, just 1 hour and 45 minutes from Santiago. It is an ideal destination for nature lovers. The natural reserve offers a unique experience in a privileged environment, being situated at the central entrance of the “Santuario de la Naturaleza Salinas de Pullally y Dunas de Longotoma” (Nature Sanctuary of Salinas de Pullally and Longotoma Dunes). This wetland covers approximately 677 hectares in the Valparaíso Region. It is recognized for its biodiversity and is considered one of the most important points in terms of ecosystem diversity in the central Chilean coastal zone. It is surrounded by beautiful quinchos (thatched roof shelters), combining comfort and the beauty of nature. It has trails and access to the beach 800 meters away, a pleasant 15-minute walk approximately. The Longotoma Reserve Campsite is an ideal place to enjoy nature, being a sanctuary for wildlife. Loud noise, such as loud music or speakers, can disturb the animals and affect the experience of other visitors. Furthermore, pets are not allowed as they can disrupt the ecological balance and frighten the fauna. The bathrooms are new, with first-class facilities, shared and private, with hot water. There is also a common bonfire area, an outdoor shower, and a pier in the wetland area where you can enjoy a kayak ride. Additionally, you will find a common refrigeration area that offers ice, charcoal, and firewood for sale at the campsite itself.
